POSITION: DIRECTOR AND CHAIRMAN

Filipino, 62 is currently the Director and Chairman since assuming the position in 2015 and getting re-elected on October 29, 2020. His history with the bank includes holding an Executive Vice President position from 2014 to 2019, a Director of several subsidiaries including BPI-Philam Life Assurance Corp. (2015-2018), BPI Capital Corp. (2015-2018), BPI AMTC (2017-2018), BPI-MS Insurance Corp. (2015-2019), BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corp. (2014-2019), BPI Century Tokyo Rental Corp. (2015-2019) and Chairman of BPI Direct Banko Inc. (2018-2019). Mr. Paterno received his MBA from Stanford University in 1984 and his AB Honors Program in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1980.
 

NAME: JOSE FERDINAND B. DE LUZURIAGA

POSITION: INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Filipino, 59 years old was re-elected in October 29, 2020 as an independent director and also holds directorship to other BPI subsidiaries and affiliates including BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corp., BPI Century Tokyo Rental Corp. and BPI Direct Banko Inc. Mr. de Luzuriaga finished his college degree, BS Management at the University of the Philippines in 1983.
 

NAME: EUGENIO P. MERCADO

POSIITION: DIRECTOR

Filipino, 58 years old, and re-elected as a Director in October 29, 2020. Mr. Mercado has worked with several banking institutions before becoming the Assistant Vice-President of Far East Bank/BPI from 1998 to 2002 and becoming a Vice President of BPI from 2002 to 2011. He is currently an SVP of BPI holding several corporate directorships of other BPI subsidiaries and affiliates including BPI Forex Corporation, BPI Operations Management Corp. and BPI Card Finance Corp. He also holds an appointive position as Board Member of the Philippine Clearing House Corp. since 2016 and as Operations Committee Member of the Bankers Association of the Philippines. Mr. Mercado earned his BS Economics degree from the University of the Philippines in 1984.
 

NAME: CESAR A. TEJADA

POSITION: Independent Director

Filipino, 73 years old, Mr. Tejada has been an independent director of Ayala Plans since 2010 and of various BPI subsidiaries and affiliates including BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corp. and BPI Century Tokyo Rental Corp. His work history with the Bank included holding the various positions in BPI Bancassurance, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer from 2002 t0 2004, as President from 2004 to 2008 and as Director from 2002 to 2008. He earned his MBM from the Asian Institute of Management in 1976, and his college degree, BS in Business Administration from the University of Nueva Caceres in 1974.

NAME: SPENCER T. YAP

POSITION: Director/Officer in Charge

Filipino, 57, graduated with a degree in BS Industrial Engineering in 1986 and received his MBA degree in 1992 both from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Currently a Director of Ayala Plans, Inc. and also holds the position as Chief Finance Officer of BPI-Philam Life Assurance Corp., both assumed in 2011. His prior assignments with the Bank included the Research Officer position with BPI (1993-1995) and BPI Capital Corp. (1995-1997), Marketing Head of BPI Securities (2004-2007) and President and Director of BPI Securities in 2010.

NAME: ANGELA PILAR B. MARAMAG

POSITION: Corporate Secretary

Filipino, 51 years old, was re-elected as Corporate Secretary on October 29, 2020. She also holds the position of Corporate Secretary of the parent company, the Bank of the Philippine Islands or as Deputy Corporate Secretary of various BPI subsidiaries and affiliates, including BPI Family Savings Bank, BPI Capital, BPI AMTC, BPI Direct Banko, Inc., BPI Forex, BPI Century Tokyo Lease and Finance Corp., BPI Century Tokyo Rental Corp. and BPI-MS Insurance Corp. She received her Master in Laws (LL.M) from the University of Chicago in 1997, Juris Doctor (J.D) in 1994 from Ateneo de Manila School of Law, and AB Honors Program in Economics in 1990 from Atene De Manila University.

NAME: ELMINA R. ESTRELLA

POSITION: Treasurer/Compliance Officer

Filipino, 49 years old, was re-elected as Treasurer on October 29, 2020. She started her career with Ayala Plans in 1995 and was assigned in various Departments of the Company. She is currently an Assistant Director of Ayala Plans. She earned her college degree, BS Mathematics major in Actuarial Science from the University of Santo Tomas in 1992.
